As a first time developer, Urban Infillers asked us to design a house where they could test market some of their overall design concept - distinguishing themselves in the marketplace by providing spec housing designed by architects to the same level of quality as a custom home. The project, built on the foundation of the original house is about 20% smaller than a typical spec home, but with better planning, craftsmanship, & a higher level of finish than is usually seen in homes built for the market. In subsequent projects, Urban Infillers took their differentiation concept a bit further, commissioning a series of contemporary homes in the spirit of the
Umbrella House concept.
