NOMAD is a modular, mobile environment to be used as a complement to the exhibitions on view, and will also make The Tang a regular destination for the Skidmore community beyond openings, lectures, and class visits. NOMAD can remain 'crated' and left on display or can be 'uncrated' and reconfigured to suit different areas in the museum. It will include seating, table space, book displace space, computers, DVD monitors, 2D & 3D art display space and an espresso bar. NOMAD's form is in direct response to the complex geometry of the building, designed by Antoine Predock, and landforms that surround it.
